LANZAROTE AWAY IN DERBY v SAN BARTOLOMÉ SATURDAY 10th FEB

The Rojillos play their first ever local league derby match away versus CF San Bartolomé tomorrow (Saturday) at 5.30pm at the Pedro Espinosa “Colón” stadium in the Lanzarote village of San Bartolomé.

This is likely to be a well attended match and the home side will have their ticket office open at the stadium tonight (Friday) between 6-8pm to buy tickets at a cost of 6 Euros for adults with children under 18 years of age admitted for free.

On match day (Saturday) tickets will also be available with the ticket booth open from 4pm. Get there early to avoid the queues and even if you have purchased your tickets beforehand still get there with plenty of time to spare as the stadium is small.

Hats off to CF San Bartolomé for maintaining their usual entrance price of 6 Euros and also by inviting our President Juan Carlos Albuixech and his board of directors as guests. Many of the directors and also the president like to pay the entrance price when invited to a fellow club but the offer is still greatly appreciated.

The refreshment canteen is well organised and I am certain it will be well stocked. They usually have a match raffle, with tickets normally at just 1 Euro each. In the pre season tournament last year a family on holiday from England won the first prize.

A family from the UK won a raffle prize of a juicer. They kindly donated it to charity.

At the 5.30pm kick off time it is likely to be warm but as the sun beautifully sets over the volcanic mountains at the beginning of the second half it usually gets very cold. The weather has been fantastic lately and at the moment there is a Clima, which is why there is a warm breeze in the evenings but don’t rely on that. Definitely bring a warm top with you.

Let’s go out and enjoy the match and may there be plenty of banter between the two sets of supporters in a safe and respectful manner.

VAMOS ZAROTE!!!
