UD AÑAZA 1 LANZAROTE 1
The old cliche about a game of two halves was certainly apparent in this match.
Lanzarote were excellent in the first half. Edu Cabrera struck the post in the 13th minute from 10 yards following good work from right back Oliver. 16-year-old Edu saw his follow up header deflected over for a corner.

A few minutes later and striker Álvaro Cordero headed downwards from 5 yards but the ball agonizingly bounced over the crossbar.
From a corner defender Ale Gil made great connection with the ball but even though his header had power and was downward it fell directly to the keeper.
In the 36th minute a great run and strike from winger Dani Herrera was saved by the keeper. Álvaro was on hand to tap in from close range for his first Rojillo goal and to give his side a deserved 0-1 halftime lead.
The Tenerife side began to hold a lot more possession in the opening stages of the second half but Lanzarote coped extremely well and looked to hit on the break.
The Rojillos introduced frontman Roman in the 65th minute and he certainly injected pace into his side. Shortly after coming on, he came close to scoring a second for his side but the keeper made a great fingertip save to deny the Lanzarote striker.
The pressure continued from the home side and from a corner the man of the match, Añaza central defender Chris rose up way above everybody and powered a header into the top right-hand corner to level at 1-1.
Both sides searched for a winner but a point a piece was a fair outcome.
Lanzarote must go again this Sunday when they face third place side CD Marino at home in Arrecife at 11.30am.
