LANZAROTE PLAY IN TENERIFE TOMORROW 21st Oct

The Rojillos will travel to the north of Tenerife tomorrow afternoon (Wed 21st) to play UD Añaza at 6.30pm.

This match was initially supposed to be the opening game of the season on the 5th September but it was postponed due to the involvement of the Canarian Island select team playing in a tournament in Latvia.

The newly promoted side had a good start to life in the 5th tier of Spanish football with an away draw followed by an excellent home win against one of the favourites for promotion CD Mensajero.

After that and like so many teams at this level of football they have had huge financial issues and have slipped into the last relegation position.

Lanzarote have certainly not done much better as they sit just one point and two positions above their rivals.

Both sides will see this match as an opportunity to kick start their season. I hope to be at this match so will be updating the score on the Facebook page: Lanzarote football club.

As soon as this game is over Lanzarote will be preparing for their home match this Sunday 25th October versus CD Marino at 11.30am.
