SHOP AND SUNDAY MARKET OPEN THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER AND GENERAL NEWS

Our merchandise shop in Costa Teguise at CC Nautical, Local 25 will be open throughout the summer with its normal opening hours of Monday to Friday from 10am to 1pm as well as every Wednesday 5-7pm. Alternatively, we will have our official stall open every Sunday at Teguise market from 9.30am until 2pm situated near the public toilets.

CONGRATULATIONS UD TAMARACEITE

Gran Canarian side UD Tamaraceite were promoted yesterday to RFEF 2 (Fourth Tier). In the first leg of the final, they were losing 2-0 but a goal in the 96^th minute to make the final score 2-1 gave the Canarians hope.

44-year-old Las Palmas legend David García brought the aggregate score level in the 19^th minute and the winning goal was scored on the hour mark to make the final score 2-0 and 3-2 on aggregate.

On the last update I made an error presuming Gran Canarian side Arucas CF would avoid relegation should UD Tamaraceite be promoted. This was not the case, instead Fuerteventura side UD Playas de Sotavento has that honour. Apologies for the mistake.

WORLD CUP REF

Local lad and La Liga referee Alejandro Hernández is back in action today 26^th June as the fourth official in the Argentina v Austria match at 6pm Lanzarote and UK time. He officiated last week in Brazil’s 3-0 win over Haiti and was also the fourth official in Scotland’s 1-0 win.
