The Rojillos fought like warriors in a bloody battle against an excellent Tenerife side who were as equally committed to the cause. Unfortunately Lanzarote have paid a heavy price with two nasty injuries to Rodrigo and Thioub. It was a match where Lanzarote fought heart and soul against a team in form who are also […]
Lanzarote will be at home this Saturday at 5pm versus 11th placed CD Marino. The match was originally going to be played on the Sunday but both sides agreed to bring the match forward a day. If you wish to go to the match then simply pay at the gate on match day. There is […]
The Rojillos earn a good away point considering they were reduced to 10 men when midfielder Keita was sent off on the half hour mark. Midway through the second period Lanzarote were awarded a penalty for a foul on new boy Gonzalo Di Renzo. The Lanzarote captain Ayoze Pérez failed to convert the spot kick. […]
The Rojillos have travelled to Tenerife this morning to face CD Santa Úrsula at 4pm. The hosts are sitting in the final playoff position (5th), two places and two points above Lanzarote. Both sides are faltering with Santa Úrsula winning 3 and losing 2 of their last five matches whilst Lanzarote have won 2, drawn […]
Over the course of the next few months I would like to promote the clubs sponsors. With very little help from the islands government and still not being allowed to sell refreshments on match day along with the loss of entrance money for a year, every single sponsor for UD Lanzarote is vital. To kick […]
The Rojillos lose their second home match of the season and miss out on the opportunity to move into the playoff positions after a poor and lacklustre performance. Prior to the kick off UD Lanzarote president Juan Carlos Albuixech presented a framed shirt to defender Raúl in recognition of playing 200 games for the Rojillos […]
The Rojillos will be bitterly disappointed returning on the ferry with just a point after conceding against 10 men in added on time. Lanzarote went in front in the 29th minute with Gonzalo Di Renzo (photo) scoring on his debut and were good value going into the half time break with the narrow lead. The […]
This is why we love football! A commanding second half performance heeded no reward, then in the 86th minute the Rojillos concede a penalty and just about everyone in the stadium thought “when will this luck change?” In the third minute of injury time and with the crowd roaring, the little Brazilian struck gold with […]
UD Lanzarote return to the Tercera Division (Fourth Tier) league football this Sunday 9th January with an away match versus the third placed side CD Unión Puerto at 12 noon. The Fuerteventura side are bang in form unbeaten in their last 8 matches, winning 5 of those. The Rojillos ran into a mini crisis between […]
UD Lanzarote is the only side that has completed the first half of the season and is currently in the final playoff position, 5th spot. Because of the volcanic eruptions in La Palma that only ended a couple of weeks ago it means that there were many matches that were postponed, this has resulted that […]
On behalf of the management, players and all at UD Lanzarote we would like to wish you a wonderful Christmas and a healthy New Year. After the player’s final training session of the year last Tuesday, management along with the squad enjoyed a farewell drink and pizza back at the club. During the evening I […]
On Sunday evening at the Electric Island Bar in the Old Town of Puerto Del Carmen David Timmons and Brendan Byrne on behalf of UD Lanzarote football club organised an incredible evening starring IL Divo tribute band “3 Opera” and also held the live draw for the 5 one week holidays. The 5 lucky winners […]
