LANZAROTE HOME THIS SUNDAY AT 12 IN CRUNCH MATCH

Lanzarote are playing at home on Sunday 5th March at 12 noon versus fifth placed side UD Las Palmas B. Pay on the gate. Adults 8 Euros, Pensioners 6 Euros (2 Euros discount for residents) and children under 16 are admitted free of charge. Doors open at 11am.

UD Las Palmas B are the form side of this division having won six and drawn two of their previous eight matches. The Gran Canarians s are bouncing with confidence and this includes their first team who are leaders of Segunda A (The Championship) and are on course for promotion to Spain´s Primera Division. Their B team is made up of Under 23 year old players who all have the desire to be part of the party to play against the Real Madrid’s and Barcelona´s next season.

The Rojillos (The Reds) are under no illusion. They must win. Lanzarote are in 7th spot and are two positions and five points behind the final playoff place which is filled by the team they meet on Sunday UD Las Palmas B. A win would put Lanzarote right back in the mix however a defeat would all but end the hopes of promotion this season.

There is no doubt that Lanzarote have a squad capable of beating Las Palmas. The Rojillos last two matches have been away and their performance has been outstanding collecting four points in those matches, however on Sunday the squad will need a hugely supportive crowd as well as being on top of their game if they are to be the first team to defeat UD Las Palmas B in 11 matches.
