CD SANTA ÚRSULA 0 LANZAROTE 0
The Rojillos earn a good away point considering they were reduced to 10 men when midfielder Keita was sent off on the half hour mark.
Midway through the second period Lanzarote were awarded a penalty for a foul on new boy Gonzalo Di Renzo. The Lanzarote captain Ayoze Pérez failed to convert the spot kick. Despite being a man short Lanzarote were good value for their point and could have easily come home with maximum points.
Lanzarote are just three points adrift of the playoff positions though most sides have games in hand on the Rojillos. The only side not realistically in contention for a playoff finish is bottom side UD Las Zocas who only have 9 points however every other side has a possibility to finish in the top five including second from bottom Unión Viera who are six points from the Rojillos but have two games in hand.
It is proving to be an extremely competitive season.
Lanzarote’s next home game has been brought forward a day and will be played SATURDAY 12th February at 5pm in Arrecife v CD Marino
