LANZAROTE AWAY IN TENERIFE TODAY

The Rojillos have travelled to Tenerife this morning to face CD Santa Úrsula at 4pm. The hosts are sitting in the final playoff position (5th), two places and two points above Lanzarote.

Both sides are faltering with Santa Úrsula winning 3 and losing 2 of their last five matches whilst Lanzarote have won 2, drawn 2 and lost 1 in the same period. Both teams will be motivated from their defeats last week and losing ground on the promotion chase knowing a whole host of teams are in touching distance of a playoff spot.

In their last 7 meetings against Santa Úrsula in Tenerife Lanzarote have not been victorious, losing on 3 occasions and the other 4 matches ended in a draw. This is largely in part to their goalkeeper captain Juanje (photo with Rosmen) who must be one of the best goalkeepers in this league. Every time I have seen him play he has been nothing short of outstanding so law of averages must apply today and he will have stinker of a game.

There will be some travelling fans for Lanzarote today supporting the Rojillos so they will need to be in good voice.
