THE FIXTURES FOR SEASON 2026/27
The fixtures for this season have now been released and can be seen on my website https://mercancialanzarote.com/fixtures/.
Times and dates can, and in some cases will change which is why the kick off times are not shown, so please check as I will confirm. Generally home matches are on Sunday at 11.30am. It is slightly cooler at this time and locals can return earlier to spend the afternoon with their families whilst visitors can get back and watch the 2pm match or head to the beach.
The Rojillos open their campaign away in Tenerife against a side newly promoted as champions, UD Añaza. The first derby match is at home versus San Bartolomé on Sunday the 27th September with the return scheduled for the 6th February. The other derby match versus CD U.S. Yaiza is on Sunday the 22nd November with the away fixture on the 1st April.
The first away trip to Fuerteventura is on the 19th September versus SD Villaverde and the other is on the 14th November against UD Playas de Sotavento.
If you are on the island between the 6th December and the 17th January there are four of the five matches at home. The last home match of the year is on the 13th December and because of an away match and the Christmas break the team do not return to Arrecife until the 10th January.
There are 18 teams in the league and only one side earns automatic promotion whilst four teams battle it out in the playoffs and four sides will be relegated. The league season ends on the 9th May 2027.
