LANZAROTE AWAY IN GRAN CANARIA TOMORROW (Sat 13th)

Lanzarote have seven matches remaining this season and three of those will be in the space of 8 days beginning tomorrow Saturday 13th April at 4.30pm in Tenerife versus 6th placed side CD Santa Úrsula.

The Rojillos are in fourth spot and trail league leaders CD Tenerife B by six points but do have a game in hand. Lanzarote guaranteed themselves a playoff position weeks ago but there are four teams in contention to win the league and claim that one and only automatic promotion spot.

The squad will fly to Tenerife on Saturday morning and attempt to do something that they have not done in nine attempts in Santa Úrsula and that is win.

The Rojillos have drawn 6 times and lost on 3 occasions so now is the time to find that first victory and put the pressure on the three other sides above them.

On Wednesday 17th April Lanzarote are at home versus second placed UD Las Palmas B at 8pm. This is a rearranged match as the original date was cancelled due to a storm.

A few days later on Sunday 21st April at 12.30pm the Rojillos are once again at home and face mid table side CD Marino.

Rojillos manager Nazareno Brindisi will need his full squad for these three matches and the good news is that centre back Chucky Pierce returns from suspension, however this match will be a little too early for the classy midfielder Javi Martín but the club haven’t ruled him out for the midweek clash versus UD Las Palmas B. On a hugely positive note Javi, who has been in inspired form this season has already pledged another year with the club by already agreeing terms for next season.

Defender Justo Rodríguez will also miss this match after picking up his fifth yellow card last Sunday in an impressive performance. It is just a one match suspension so he will be available for the other two games.

What is your score prediction for tomorrow’s match? Will the Rojillos break their hoodoo and win at Santa Úrsula?
