After going a goal down in the opening five minutes the Rojillos didn’t look back as they raced into a 1-4 halftime lead with two goals from Ismael Traoré and one apiece from Di Renzo and León Gómez.
Only two minutes into the second half and Di Renzo scored his second and his team’s fifth. The side from Playas de las Américas in Tenerife then pulled a goal back from a penalty kick to make the score 2-5.
Ten minutes later and it was back to normality as Gonzalo Di Renzo who normally doesn’t take penalties though on this occasion he did and scored to complete his hat trick and send his side 2-6 up.
In the 80th minute centre back Chuky joined in the fun and scored from a header to give his side an outstanding 2-7 win.
The Rojillos leapfrog UD Las Palmas B and move into third spot and are a point behind CD Tenerife B and U.S. Yaiza who continued their superb season coming from behind yesterday to win in stoppage time 2-1. Yaiza have the opportunity to go three points clear when they play their game in hand match on Wednesday away in Tenerife versus CD Santa Úrsula.
Lanzarote´s next match is at home and is scheduled for Sunday the 17th December at 12 noon versus CD Buzanada but please check for confirmation of date and time a week before the match.
