LANZAROTE AWAY IN FUERTEVENTURA TOMORROW

The Rojillos will make the short journey to Fuerteventura tomorrow Saturday 11th to face relegation threatened CD Herbania at 4pm.

Lanzarote will be armed with supporters from the clubs organized trip along with plenty that have gone over for the weekend all with the belief that their team will at last find an elusive away win.

Realistically this will be the Rojillos final chance to stage a challenge for a playoff position. Lanzarote trail a playoff finish by five points with five games remaining having played a game more than most of their rivals.

It may sound an uphill challenge and it is, however every team is fighting for survival or promotion and recent results from most teams have been erratic.

Herbania are third from bottom but just a point away from safety with six matches remaining. A win could see them climb above the two other Lanzarote sides possibly leaving them in the relegation positions.

Those who are joining us on the excursion do remember to bring your DNI card and an up-to-date Certificado de Viajes or for non-residents your PASSPORT as identification is needed to board the ferry.

We begin the excursion pick up in Costa Teguise at Apartamentos Nazaret bus stop at 11.15am then a quick stop at Ciudad Deportiva at 11.30am then onto the Biosfera shopping complex bus stop at 12 noon. Go to the loo before boarding especially if you are getting on at the first pick up.

Make sure you bring a hat and lather yourself with sunscreen. I always go on about this but at last week’s home match just half an hour in the sun left me looking crisp and like a lobster (what a wally). The way the weather is at the moment rain jackets maybe more appropriate. We all know it changes quickly and the sun will show its face.
