CDU Puerto Del Carmen 0 Lanzarote 5 (Canarian Cup)
It was apparent early on that there was not going to be any cup shock tonight in the José Antonio Ruiz Caballero cup.
Puerto Del Carmen with their captain and legendary ex Rojillo Ayoze Pérez never dropped their heads but the two divisions between the sides was too much for the Regional side.
A hat trick for Junior
The last thing PDC would have wanted was to concede an early goal but inside 5 minutes a horrible error from their keeper allowed Junior to stroke the ball home for a 0-1 lead.
In the 16th minute a wonder strike from Nami from 25 yards into the top left corner made it 2-0. 10 minutes later and a Machín low cross was slotted home by Junior to give Lanzarote a 3-0 advantage.
In the 35th minute the game was effectively over when Pablo Kawecki curled in an incredible 25-yard free kick into the top left corner to give Lanzarote a 0-4 halftime lead.
Youngster Junior completed the scoring in the 55th minute when he blasted home from 10 yards and in doing so scored his first hat trick as a Rojillo.
The home side fought hard and Ayoze had a good chance to score but his volley sailed wide.
A comfortable win for Lanzarote but all focus now turns to Sunday 25th with Lanzarote at home in Arrecife versus SD Tenisca at 12.30pm
