The opening half hour was mostly uneventful but a super 25 yard strike on the stroke of halftime by centre back Mario Román sent Lanzarote into the interval with a 1-0 lead.
The Tenerife side were reduced to ten men in the 55th minute when their right back hacked down Nadjib to pick up his second yellow card.
The Rojillos took full advantage of the extra man with Adrián Machín firing in a low drive into the bottom left hand corner in the 63rd minute to give his side a 2-0 cushion.

All looked very comfortable but the visitors rallied and ex Rojillo Álvaro Iglesias forced the Lanzarote keeper Ruyman into a fine save and the warning had been given.
In the 74th minute CD Marino were well and truly back in the game when the ball was headed home from a corner kick to reduce the deficit to 2-1.
Lanzarote then had to endure 20 minutes of nerves as the high ball from the visitors pounded the Rojillos danger zone.
Fortunately Lanzarote held out and now see themselves at the top of the table by a point after five matches.
Next Saturday the Rojillos travel to Tenerife to face CD San Miguel at 1pm.
