Three priceless points keeps the Rojillos in the hunt for automatic promotion.

A dreadful first half with Lanzarote going into the break 0-1 down things looked bleak.

The Rojillos came out for the second half with a much better attitude and that improved with the introduction of club captain Ayoze Pérez on the hour mark.

In the 69th minute some delightful dribbling by Leo Pierce set up Ale Fuentes who blasted the ball from 12 yards into the top right hand corner to level at 1-1.

With five minutes remaining sub Ismael Traoré kept alive Lanzarote´s title ambitions when he coolly slotted the ball home from 10 yards into the bottom left hand corner and Lanzarote led 2-1.

The Rojillos knew they had to win as the other three title contenders all won. Lanzarote remain in fourth spot trailing leaders CD Tenerife B by six points though with a game in hand.

Next Saturday Lanzarote travel to Tenerife to face 6th placed side CD Santa Úrsula at 4.30pm.
