LANZAROTE AT HOME THIS SUNDAY (18th Feb) at 12 NOON

The Rojillos will be at home this Sunday 18th February at 12 noon versus 12th placed side Club Atlético Victoria. Pay at the gate and doors open at 11am. Refreshments and merchandise available inside the stadium on match day.

To try and avoid queues on match day, tickets are available from our shop in Costa Teguise at CC Nautical, Local 25 (open Mon-Fri 10am to 1pm and also Wednesdays 5-7pm).

Our opponents from Tenerife looked doomed at the end of 2023 and certainties for relegation but three wins and a draw in four consecutive matches lifted them up to mid table, however two defeats in their last two matches leaves them three points above the drop zone so those thoughts of mid table comfort are a distant memory as they need points.

All Lanzarote and Yaiza fans should be delighted with how the season is going. It is only mid February and with only 14 games remaining both sides have opened up an 18 point gap to drop out of the playoffs. It is simply an outstanding achievement and there is absolutely no doubt that both sides are determined to claw back the four point gap of league leaders CD Tenerife B to earn that one and only guaranteed spot of promotion.

Lanzarote have been hurt with the loss of their striker Di Renzo who had pledged to stay with the Rojillos until the end of the season but with the nature of football nothing is set in stone.

After speaking to head coach Nazareno Brindisi after last Saturday´s match and seeing the determination in his eyes and all of his players he believes this loss will further unite his team, and with four wins and a draw in his last five matches his side is united.
