LANZAROTE ARE AT HOME THIS SUNDAY 17th Dec at 12 NOON
Lanzarote play their final match of the year at home this Sunday 17th December at 12 noon versus Tenerife side CD Buzanada. Pay on the gate. Doors open at 11am. Alternatively tickets are available from the shop in Costa Teguise to avoid any queuing (details below). Refreshments and club merchandise available in the stadium on match day.
The Rojillos are in third position in the league table and are two points behind league leaders Yaiza and a point behind second placed side CD Tenerife B.
CD Buzanada are in 13th spot and are just goal difference away from the relegation positions. The Rojillos will want to finish the year unbeaten and nothing other than a win this Sunday will suffice especially after winning their last match away 2-7.
Lanzarote have not been firing on full cylinders at home in their last three matches and many fans and some players will remember the time when CD Buzanada ended Lanzarote´s 43 home game unbeaten run when they shocked and thrashed the Rojillos 1-5. This may have been back in 2016 but for many at the club this is still fresh in the memory.
Please remember this Sunday the club are asking for your help if possible by bringing a toy with you. The club are 100% supporting the campaign “No Child Without a Toy This Christmas”. I have talked to various people this week and the response has been great. It doesn’t have to be expensive, a football, dolls, Teddy bears etc. Please do not wrap the toy so they will know what age of child to give it to.
I still have 6 Spanish El Gordo Lottery tickets left at 23 Euros each in the shop in Costa Teguise at CC Nautical, Local 25, open Monday to Friday 10am to 1pm and also Wednesdays 5-7pm. The draw is on the 22nd Dec.
