NEW SIGNING LEONEL ORTIZ
UD Lanzarote´s latest signing is 21 year old Argentinean centre back Leonel Ortiz. The 1.95m (6 foot 4 inches) centre back has been brought in to strengthen the Rojillo defence.
The right sided player is rarely beaten in the air and is highly regarded by the technical staff within the club for his game awareness and agility. He has represented Club Atlético Talleres Cordoba in Argentina and last season played 44 matches for their B team.
Leonel becomes the clubs 19th signing and will bolster the centre of defence which was a position that the Rojillos struggled with in the early part of the second half of last season.
