Ten man Lanzarote fight for a point and move up into fourth spot and into the playoff positions.

The Rojillos went 0-1 up in the 20th minute when Traoré combined with Di Renzo splitting open the Tenerife defence and slotted home into the far right hand corner.

Lanzarote looked comfortable with their lead and should have been awarded a penalty with a clear hand ball in the 57th minute but the official waived away the claims.

A few minutes later Adrían Machín lost his discipline and finally lashed out for all the kickings he had received and was given a straight red card.

Lanzarote’s defence, midfield and strikers defended like Trojans but Santa Úrsula eventually broke through and levelled in the 77th minute.

It’s still a great point and once again many results went Lanzarote’s way. The Rojillos have moved up two positions to fourth and now have their destiny in their own hands.

Next Sunday 2nd April at 12 noon Lanzarote are at home versus third from bottom side UD Ibarra.
