EX REAL MADRID AND UD LANZAROTE PLAYER JOTHA WITH SUMMER FOOTBALL SCHOOL FOR KIDS

One of Lanzarote´s finest ever players popped in the shop the other day with UD Lanzarote junior coach José Reyes to explain to me about this super football school which will take place this August  with youngsters aged between 5-17 years of age.

Jotha began his footballing life as a child with his local club CD Tinajo and did a full circle ending his playing days with them last season. In between that he spent a couple of seasons with Real Madrid from 2004 training everyday with the likes of Zidane, Figo, Roberto Carlos amongst a host of other Galacticos and made his debut replacing Raúl in September 2004 joining David Beckham in the centre of midfield. I think he can teach a child a thing or two about football.

The Campus is from Monday to Friday between 9-13.30 beginning on the 2^nd August up until the 27^th August (4 weeks). Any child on the island is welcome (need to register) and the Camps will be somewhere near you as the Town Halls from Arrecife, Tinajo, Yaiza, Tias and Teguise are all involved and the Camps will be on those pitches. Other sports will also take place though primarily it is football.

Many of the islands best coaches and players will be participating including ex Rojillo legends Vladi and Gustavo García as well as Jotha but also it will include some current players such as Ayoze Pérez and goalkeeper Rúyman. If your child has an appetite for sport this is the place for them to be this August.
