LANZAROTE V YAIZA THIS SUNDAY 26th AUGUST AT 12 NOON at home in Arrecife
The Rojillos opening match of the season is at home and is none other than their huge derby rivals Yaiza.
Lanzarote won this fixture 2-0 last season but many players have been exchanged between clubs including the two players on this photo and emotions will be running at boiling point.
The gate opens a little before 11am and it would be wise to be there around 11 or just after. The locals tend to turn up at kick off and foreign fans mostly get there early so it works out well. A very good and vocal crowd is expected.
Those of you coming to your first game, tickets do not and cannot be booked beforehand but I assure you that you will have no problem getting in.
Bus number 3 runs from Costa Teguise and Puerto Del Carmen goes back and forth every 30 minutes to Arrecife on a Sunday. Tell bus driver Ciudad Deportiva Lanzarote (which is next door to the central bus station and not near the sea) and if that doesn’t work pretend to kick a ball and I am sure he will get your drift. It’s easy!
My apologies to all the people who saw me last Friday at the PDC market just when I had run out of season tickets. I have now got LOADS more so pop down Friday after 9.30am and before 2pm and I will have them for you. Adults 50 Euros and Pensioners 25 Euros.
