LANZAROTE AT HOME THIS SUNDAY 23rd OCT at 12 NOON
What a game we have in store this Sunday at 12 in Arrecife. After two consecutive home wins Lanzarote will be trying to make it a hat trick of victories. Standing in their way is second placed side, unbeaten this season UD Villa Santa Brígida.
The Gran Canarian opponents have won four games and drawn the other whilst conceding just one goal and it is only goal difference that separates them from top spot.
UD Villa Santa Brígida have always been a strong side and have played against Lanzarote on many occasions in the league above, however just before the pandemic they were having a torrid time, bottom of the league and doomed for relegation until that is the pandemic took hold and the Spanish Football Federation decided that there were to be no relegations during that season.
They are definitely back, though they will be facing a confident Rojillo side that’s moved up to 8th spot boosted by those two recent wins. Manager Mateo García has a full squad at his disposal including 21 year old local lad Julyan who has returned from suspension. The youngster is bursting with talent but whether he makes the team sheet so soon we will have to wait and see.
As always doors open at 11am and pay on the gate.
