MATCH POSTPONED THIS SUNDAY 9th OCTOBER IN LA PALMA
UD Lanzarote´s away match to La Palma to play CD Mensajero has been postponed due to the unavailability of return flights this Sunday.
Four flights are needed for a round trip to La Palma and on most occasions when they visit Lanzarote the game is changed to a Saturday or at a later time on the Sunday to accommodate the difficult flight times.
The club has been trying for weeks to resolve the issue and offered to play the match on Saturday but unfortunately CD Mensajero have junior sides playing that day against teams from other islands.
The Spanish Football Federation made the decision to postpone the match and will liaise with both clubs to set a new date.
The Rojillos next match is at home and is scheduled for Sunday 16th October against the unbeaten CD Unión Puerto side from Fuerteventura. Date and time will be confirmed on home page early next week though it should be at 12 noon.
