R.I.P. JESÚS DE MIGUEL ALAMEDA 1996-2026

CD Tenerife and the rest of the football world are stunned over the loss of their player Jesús de Miguel Alameda.

Deep into stoppage time of Tenerife’s home match last night versus FC Andorra with the score 2-2, the Tenerife striker went down after a challenge from the visitor’s goalkeeper.

After 15 minutes of medical work on the pitch the referee abandoned the match as the 30-year-old was rushed to hospital.

On the way to the hospital, he suffered a cardiac arrest and was resuscitated by paramedics in the ambulance.

During the evening his condition was described as stable but serious however during the early hours of this morning his condition deteriorated and he passed away at 7am GMT.

There are no words to describe such a tragedy. All we can offer from every Lanzarote supporter or follower is our deepest condolences to his family and everyone at our fellow Canarian football club CD Tenerife.
