LANZAROTE AT HOME THIS SUNDAY at 11am versus U.S. YAIZA
Both the Rojillos (The Reds) and the Verdinegros (Green and Blacks) will forget about their disastrous league form as they meet each other this Sunday 8th March at 11am at Ciudad Deportiva stadium in Arrecife.
Doors will open at 9.45am and simply pay on the door. If you wish to avoid any queues then match tickets are also available from our merchandise shop in Costa Teguise at CC Nautical, Local 25, open Monday to Friday 10am to 1pm and also Wednesdays 5-7pm.
Adults 10 Euros, Pensioners 8 Euros and all children 15 years or under are admitted free of charge (discounts for residents with I.D.) Cash preferred as quicker. Refreshments and club merchandise available inside the stadium on match days.
The first Derby match was on the 25th October and what a belter of a game it was. Yaiza took a 2-0 half time lead only for Lanzarote to level at 2-2. In the 5th minute of added on time Yaiza thought they had won it but two minutes late Junior scored his first goal for the Rojillos as the game ended 3-3.
Although Yaiza are only four points above the drop zone they are in better form than Lanzarote and eased relegation worries with a 3-0-win last week.
The Rojillos would like nothing more than to reignite those worries for their rivals whilst Yaiza would love Lanzarote to continue to endure more suffering.
