LANZAROTE AWAY IN GRAN CANARIA on Sat 28th Feb at 12 noon
Lanzarote will travel to Gran Canaria tomorrow (Saturday 28th) to face UD Telde at 12 noon.
The Rojillos poor form has seen them slip to 7th spot and six points from the playoff positions with 11 games to play.
UD Telde began the season as the whipping boys with many heavy defeats including a 5-0 loss to Lanzarote back in October leaving them rooted to the bottom of the league.
The Gran Canarian side then gradually improved their leaky defence and picked up a point against the league leaders CD Atlético Paso and three points versus U.S. Yaiza among several draws.
This still leaves UD Telde at the bottom but they have narrowed the gap to seven points from safety and they know that a win against a vulnerable Lanzarote would reignite their Great Escape.
It is evident that the Rojillos are lacking one of the most important ingredients you need in football and that’s confidence.
Shouting and screaming can be done at the end of the season but whilst there is hope give Captain Raúl and all of his players the positive support that his team needs.
This match could possibly be streamed but I doubt that I will have confirmation of that until Saturday morning.
