The Rojillos unbeaten home record of 10 matches undefeated finally came to an end against the league leaders Atlético Paso.
Lanzarote began the stronger of the two sides but on the visitors first attack of the match they took the lead with a powerful low strike from the edge of the box in the 10th minute.

The La Palma side were reduced to 10 men in the 25th minute when the referee deemed that the player used his elbow as he climbed for the ball. It looked a little harsh.
For the next 15 minutes the Rojillos went full out attack on the league’s meanest defence and struck the crossbar but just couldn’t find the opening.
Lanzarote tried all they could but the La Palma defence were superbly organized whether it was through the middle or out on the flanks and quickly smothered any danger.
Lanzarote end the weekend in eighth position and are two points off a playoff finish.
On Wednesday 11th February Lanzarote will be playing at home in Arrecife at 8pm versus U.S. Yaiza in the final of the Island cup. Entrance is 5 Euros. Goldcard holders free entry.
Next Sunday Lanzarote travel to the south of Tenerife and face tenth placed side CD Marino.
