ARUCAS CF 3 LANZAROTE 1
The Rojillos away woes continue as they suffer their third defeat out of six matches on the road.
The first half was uneventful until a cross in the 42nd minute was headed home by striker Gordillo to give the Gran Canarian side a 1-0 advantage at the break.
Lanzarote looked much better in the second half but on the break in the 67th minute a cross from the right destined for the Arucas striker on the far post was intercepted by Rojillos defender Alex Cruz at full strength but he could only look in horror as the ball trickled into his own net.
A few minutes later and the Rojillos were back in the match when Nami slotted home into the left corner to make it 2-1.
Any hopes of a comeback were dashed when some good passing football from the home team was finished off by Hernández with a simple finish to seal a 3-1 win.
Lanzarote have slipped to third spot but that will be worsened by the end of the weekend with just three points dividing 2nd spot to 10th and with all of those sides yet to play.
There are no matches next week. The Rojillos next match will be at home on Sunday 7th December versus CD Herbania at 11am.
