TINAJO TOURNAMENT (semi final) CD Tinajo 1 Lanzarote 4

The Rojillos eased to victory against a spirited Tinajo side that play a division lower than Lanzarote in Regional Preferente.

In the 13th minute a super powerful low cross from Nadjib was a gift for the impressive Yeray Tavio who recently turned 19 years of age. The youngster simply passed the ball into the empty net to give his side an early 0-1 lead.

A minute before  the break Miguel Gopar won the ball in midfield and fed Nadjib with a wonderful defence splitting pass. The Lanzarote winger once again blasted the ball low across the six yard box and new striker Mohas shot was initially saved but he blasted home the rebound to send his team into the interval with a 0-2 advantage.

The home side won and converted a penalty in the 63rd minute to reduce the deficit to 1-2.

Any thoughts of a fight back were ended two minutes later when striker Nami picked up on a defensive error and beat the keeper with a low drive into the bottom right hand corner. This was his  third goal in successive matches and now Lanzarote were cruising with their 1-3 lead.

In the 74th minute another great move down the right involving new boy Pablo and Alex Cruz ended with 19 year old Johan firing in from 10 yards to complete the 1-4 win.

Lanzarote will meet the winner of Friday’s semi final between San Bartolomé CF and U.S.Yaiza which will be on Saturday evening at 9pm.
