LANZAROTE AWAY TOMORROW (Sat 29th) IN GRAN CANARIA
Lanzarote will travel to Gran Canaria on Saturday 29th March to face CF Estrella at 12 noon.
There are just seven matches remaining of the season and the Rojillos are sixth in the league table and two points adrift of the playoff positions.
The home side are third from bottom and are seven points from safety so it is do or die for the Las Palmas outfit. They will be buoyed by taking 10 points in their last five outings whilst Lanzarote have just mustered up three points in the same amount of games.
Lanzarote won 2-0 earlier in the season but the last time these two sides met in Gran Canaria was in the 22-23 season and the match ended one apiece. A draw this time around would be no good for either side.
The game of the weekend is the south of Tenerife derby with fourth placed UD Ibarra hosting seventh placed CD Marino this evening (Fri) at 9pm. The visitors are three points away from that important fifth spot and a win would put them firmly back in the hunt for that final playoff position.
