IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON TONIGHTS COPA DEL REY MATCH

UD Lanzarote welcome the league leaders of the Segunda Division (Second Tier) Real Racing Club de Santander for the first round of the Copa Del Rey tie at the stadium in Tías tonight, Tuesday 29th October at 8pm.

ENTRANCE INTO THE STADIUM

As promised at the beginning of season the club will give priority entrance to their Goldcard members, season ticket holders and club members (proof required).

This will be the order of entrance:

6.15pm Goldcard members

6.30pm Season ticket holders and club members (socios y abonos).

6.45pm Open to all ticket holders

This is an all seated match (officiated by security) without seat allocation so the club kindly asks all their supporters to not leave any gaps between fellow supporters.

The usual capacity at the stadium is 900 however with the additional temporary seating on the opposite side there will be a total of 1214 seats and they have all been sold.

This will also include around 125 Racing fans that have made the journey. I’m sure Rojillo supporters will welcome and applaud our guests and show appreciation for the incredible start to the season that their team has had, at least until kickoff.

DRESS WARM

Please take note of this. Even though Tias is only a few minutes drive from Puerto Del Carmen the change in temperature up the hill is huge and to add a cold breeze all means be prepared. We had rain last night but the weather should improve this evening though there is no harm in taking a waterproof top with you.

The players will leave Arrecife on the team bus and pass by the Tías stadium around 6pm. There is likely to be a very warm greeting for Rojillos players and management by the Lanzarote fans.

On a sour note the match will not be streamed outside of the Canary Islands. In what I gather Movistar own the rights to the televising of the Copa Del Rey and have given it to Radio Televisión Canaria (www.rtvc.es) on condition that it’s only broadcast within the islands. Unfortunately this is completely out of the clubs hands.

I feel for all Rojillo supporters living all over Europe and even further afield who were looking forward to watching this match. Myself (Ian) on Facebook page Lanzarote football club and David on Supporting UD Lanzarote will keep you updated the best we can.

In a small consolation I believe at 00.15 that www.rtvc.es will rerun the match though I need this to be confirmed.
