LANZAROTE AT HOME IN TÍAS SUNDAY 22nd Sep at 12 Noon
The Rojillos are playing fellow local side San Bartolomé CF this Sunday 22nd September at 12 noon at our temporary home in Tías.
This is likely to be one of the most attended matches of the season and doors open at 11am. We are hoping that the stadium manager will allow us to open at 10.45am for Goldcard members, season ticket holders and socios though this will have to be confirmed.
Pay at the gate 10 Euros adults, Pensioners 8 Euros and all children 15 years or younger are admitted free of charge (discount for residents with ID). Arrive early!
Tickets will be available from our shop in Costa Teguise at CC Nautical, Local 25 open Mon-Fri 10am to 1pm and also Wednesdays 5-7pm. The club in Arrecife at Calle El Isleño 4, tickets will be available Tuesday and Thursday 6-8pm and on Wednesday from 10am to 1pm. Season tickets are still available at 75 Euros adults and 50 Euros pensioners.
Lanzarote have had a great start to the season taking maximum points in their two matches played whilst San Bartolomé earned a superb goalless draw away in their first match against one of the favourites for promotion UD San Fernando.
Surprisingly the following week the Batatateros (Sweet potato farmers) lost at home 0-1 versus Arucas CF. Usually they have fantastic support with much of the village coming to watch them but last Saturday coincided with the islands biggest fiesta “Los Dolores” and as expected the turnout was low. This Sunday you can be certain that their supporters will be out in force.
