LANZAROTE AT HOME THIS SUNDAY 12th MAY at 11am in CRUNCH DERBY MATCH
The Rojillos are playing their final league match of the season at home this Sunday 12th May at 11am in the crucial derby match versus U.S. Yaiza. Pay at the gate. Doors open at 9.30am. Refreshments and merchandise available inside the stadium on match day. Adults 10 Euros (residents 7 Euros), Pensioners 8 Euros (residents 5 Euros). All children under 16 years are admitted free of charge.
If you are a lover of football this is one of the biggest local matches ever on the island and it happens to be the final league game of the season. Lanzarote are in second spot and Yaiza are one point behind in third. Both have already qualified for the playoffs but the team that finishes in second position will not only have a much favourable route in the playoffs but will also be guaranteed inclusion in next seasons Copa Del Rey.
It’s going to be busy but there is room for everyone. You can pay at the door but if you don’t want to be in a long queue then be early. It is so much easier and quicker to pay in cash and have the correct change on you. If you are buying resident tickets please have ID for all tickets.
To avoid any queues and walk straight through the gate then buy your tickets beforehand at the merchandise shop in Costa Teguise at CC Nautical, Local 25 (behind Café Oppa). We are open Friday 10am to 1pm but are closed Saturday. In Puerto Del Carmen tickets are available every evening from David at The Irish Harbour Bar and from Brendan at Dicey Rileys, both in the Old Town. In Arrecife at the club Davinia will be there Thursday evening from 6-8pm and on Friday from 10am to 12 noon and again from 6-8pm. Otherwise get to the stadium early and have correct CASH please.
Before kickoff Adrián Machín will be presented with The Nina Gil Player of the season trophy by ex Rojillo legend Oscar Vladimir and at halftime the club will be doing the draw for the Gran Rifa with 5 fantastic prizes. Tickets for the draw will still be available inside the stadium next to the merchandise stand until kick off. Tickets are 5 Euros for 2 tickets.
We will of course be doing our standard raffle of 1 Euro per ticket or 6 for 5 Euros with the six prizes. Pilar, Jacci, Lorraine and now Leigh will be after your cash as you come through the door. All money goes to the club.
