LANZAROTE AWAY IN GRAN CANARIA TOMORROW 5th MAY

The Rojillos travel to Las Palmas tomorrow and face mid table side UD Tamaraceite at 11am Sunday 5th May knowing that they must win to keep the outside hope of automatic promotion alive.

Surely the game of the day is leaders CD Tenerife B taking on second placed U.S. Yaiza. The Lanzarote side trail the league leaders by four points and if they win, it could mean that on the final day of the season on May 12th there could be four teams with a chance of winning the league and gaining that sole automatic spot.

Either way, with the top two teams playing each other, one or even both of the sides will drop points and with Lanzarote trailing Yaiza by one point and a further four points behind the leaders, Lanzarote can either move into second spot or close the gap on the leaders to two points providing they win.

We should not forget UD Las Palmas B in this scenario. They are level on points with Lanzarote and have a better goal difference however because of Lanzarote having a better head to head record against them Lanzarote take the advantage. On paper they have the easiest final two matches and if they finished level with CD Tenerife B then they would have the advantage.

There are lots of ifs and buts, however by 1pm tomorrow things will be a lot clearer.
