The league table is looking very good for two of the island’s three clubs. The Rojillos return to the top on goals scored whilst Yaiza are just behind in second.

Gonzalo Di Renzo (photo) once again enhanced his reputation scoring both goals before halftime to send Lanzarote 0-2 up at the break.

The Tenerife side hit back with 20 minutes remaining to make it 1-2 but the Rojillos held on to make it three wins and a draw in their opening four matches and finish the week as league leaders.

Next Sunday 8th October Lanzarote are at home versus 11th placed side UD Ibarra (at time to be confirmed). Pay on the gate.
