LANZAROTE HOME THIS SUNDAY (24th Sep) at 12 NOON (doors open at 11am)

The Rojillos face newly promoted local side San Bartolomé CF this Sunday 24th September at 12 noon in Arrecife. Adults 10 euros (residents 7 euros) Pensioners 8 euros (residents 5 euros). Children under 16 years are admitted free of charge. Pay at the door.

San Bartolomé have had a difficult start to life in the Tercera Division (fifth tier) taking just one point in their opening two matches and are 4th from bottom.

Lanzarote should take nothing for granted against their visitors as they have a very good battling side with many ex Rojillo players all with a point to prove.

In their debut match they were losing 2-0 away with ten minutes remaining and earned a point. In their first home game they lost 0-1 to CD Tenerife B who are one of the favourites for promotion.

The Rojillos are in fourth spot and won their first match 2-1 at home. This was followed by an away 2-2 draw to UD Gran Tarajal playing with just 10 men from the 37th minute following a sending off with the match goalless.

There will be a good crowd for this derby match as San Bartolomé will bring a few hundred fans with them so it’s advisable to arrive a little earlier than normal. Doors open at 11am.

Refreshments and merchandise will be available inside the stadium.
