LANZAROTE AT HOME THIS SUNDAY (22nd Feb) at 11am
Lanzarote will be playing at home in Arrecife this Sunday 22nd February versus CD Arcángel San Miguel at 11am kick off.
Doors will open at 10am and simply pay on the door. If you wish to avoid any queues then match tickets are also available from our merchandise shop in Costa Teguise at CC Nautical, Local 25, open Monday to Friday 10am to 1pm and also Wednesdays 5-7pm.
Adults 10 Euros, Pensioners 8 Euros and all children 15 years or under are admitted free of charge (discounts for residents with I.D.) Cash preferred as quicker. Refreshments and club merchandise available inside the stadium on match days.
The league table this season is really divided into two parts with an 8-point gap between 11th and 12th spot.
The Tenerife side are in that 12th position and are just two points off the relegation places. Last season it was a similar situation with Lanzarote chasing the playoffs and CD San Miguel fighting the drop. The Rojillos dominated that match but San Miguel scored a late winner which spurred their team to survival, meanwhile Lanzarote missed out on the playoffs by a single point.
The Rojillos looked at the very least playoff certainties as we began the New Year being second in the table, however only two wins and a draw in their last 8 matches have seen Lanzarote slip 4 points outside the playoff positions and down to 8th place.
If the Rojillos are going to challenge for a top five finish they must immediately stop the rot and put points on the table starting this Sunday at 11am.
