LANZAROTE 1 CD HERBANIA 0
Ten man Lanzarote manage to hold out for the entire second half with 10 players and move up to fourth spot level on points with third placed UD Tamaraceite and a further three points from league leaders CD Átletico Paso.
The Rojillos were cruising in the first half and took the lead in the 32nd minute from a pinpoint Ale Fuentes corner which was superbly nodded home into the bottom left hand corner by Javi Martín.
Lanzarote were looking to extend their lead but shortly before half time youngster Isaac Morales raised his foot in a challenge and the official deemed the challenge sufficient enough for a red card.
A couple of minutes later Lanzarote had shouts for a penalty but the official ignored the appeals.
It was a tough second half for Lanzarote but they dug in to secure all three points to move back up the table.
Next Sunday 14th December Lanzarote travel to Gran Canaria and face 6th placed side UD San Fernando at 12 noon.
