LANZAROTE   5   UD TELDE   0

The Rojillos return to top spot following a 5-star performance against a side that seems to have hit rock bottom.

Bang in form Adrián Machín inevitably opened the scoring in the 25th minute when he was put through the middle by a beautifully weighted pass from Pablo and stuck it past the keeper from 12 yards.

Absolutely no doubt in Machíns mind that he is going to score and score he did to begin the rout.

Eight minutes later left back Lisandro beat his defender but was clipped on the back of the heel and a clear penalty was awarded. Machín fired home from the spot to send his side 2-0 up.

Just before halftime it looked as though Machín would get his hat trick but the keeper palmed away his powerful strike.

The visitors had a clear chance to get back into the match at the start of the second half but Ruyman outwitted the striker on a one on one and smothered the ball.

Pablo headed home Lanzarote’s third in the 54th minute after receiving an inch perfect cross from Loukou. Ten minutes later Loukou again fired a low cross to the far post and striker Nami scored his first goal to make it 4-0.

Moha finished off the scoring in the 89th minute to give the Rojillos a comfortable 5-0 win.

The referee didn’t add on much time which was just as well with temperatures in the late 20s on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Photos will be published tomorrow and match highlights.

Next Saturday Lanzarote are away to U.S. Yaiza at 5pm
