PUERTO DEL CARMEN TOURNAMENT (SEMI FINAL) Lanzarote 2 CF Sporting Tías 1
Two late goals, one a piece from new signing Nami and Adrián Machín see Lanzarote progress to the final which will be played Saturday night at 9pm against San Bartolomé CF.
The first half was quite even with the Rojillos having the best chance after a good move which was denied by a fine save with the foot from the Tías keeper.
Both sides made drastic changes in the second half which improved the tempo of the match.
Machín came close with a super half volley from the edge of the box but the ball went narrowly wide though Lanzarote weren’t going to be denied for long.
All the action came with five minutes remaining. Nami toe poked home to give his side the lead then a couple of minutes later Machín found the net heading in at the far post after an excellent move down the left flank.
The side from a division below Lanzarote were given a lifeline with a minute remaining as the Lanzarote keeper was punished to the maximum after giving away the ball on the 18 yard line.
Moments after the goal the referee blew for full time giving Lanzarote their first victory in the preseason.
