LANZAROTE AT HOME (in Tías) THIS SUNDAY (27th) AT 12 NOON

The Rojillos are sitting in sixth spot, one position and three points adrift of CD Mensajero that are in the final playoff position of fifth. It is a mammoth task to ask but if Lanzarote were to win their three remaining matches, two of which are at home then they would qualify for the playoffs.
Lanzarote face 12th placed side UD Villa Santa Brígida and whilst the Gran Canarian team have had a disappointing season for their standards they have improved in recent weeks and have only been beaten once in their last seven outings.
Playoff rivals CD Mensajero have a difficult away trip to mid table side Arucas CF on Saturday and will be desperate for maximum points to ease the pressure when they host Lanzarote in what could be the crunch match next week.
If Lanzarote were to finish the season level on points with Mensajero then Lanzarote would have the advantage as the Rojillos won 2-0 at home earlier in the season. In Spanish football it is the team that fared better against the other that takes priority. Goal difference only comes into play if the two matches finished equal.
Tickets for the match can be paid for on the gate and it is advisable to get there just after the doors open at 11am. We also sell match tickets at our shop in Costa Teguise at CC Nautical, Local 25. Open Monday to Friday 10am to 1pm and also every Wednesday 5-7pm https://maps.google.com/?q=28.997751,-13.492223
