LANZAROTE AWAY TODAY IN THE CANARIAN CUP 1/4 FINAL

The Rojillos are travelling to Gran Canaria today to play CD Becerril (6th Tier) in the quarter final of the José Antonio Ruiz Caballero Cup at 6pm.

Holders and favourites UD Las Palmas Atlético (B team, 5th Tier) are already through to the semi final beating Fuerteventura side CF Unión Puerto (6th Tier) 0-2.

Lanzarote will most probably make use of their squad alongside some experienced players as they have done in previous rounds with an eye on Sunday’s important home league match at their temporary home in Tías at 12 noon versus CF Unión Viera.

The other two semi finals feature 5th Tier teams UD Villa Santa Brígida and CF Unión Viera versus 6th Tier teams CF Lomo Blanco and CF Universitario respectively.

The lower division sides have home advantage but in the semi finals a draw will take place for the one legged semi final matches.
