The Rojillos lose against the league leaders and slip to fourth spot in the league table.
The home side took the lead in the 13th minute but Adrián Machín levelled in the 29th minute. On the hour Saliou won the game for runaway leaders.
Lanzarote are closely followed by UD Ibarra who trail the Rojillos by two points. Since Diego Maradona junior took over the Tenerife side they have been outstanding.
Originally, the son of the Argentine legend was brought in to give his side stability and to fight relegation but now they are strong candidates to claim one of the four playoff positions.
Next Sunday 23rd February things don’t get any easier for the Rojillos as they are at home in Tías versus second placed side UD Tamaraceite at 12 noon. The visitors are also bang in form having won seven of their previous eight matches with the other a draw.
