ROJILLOS AWAY IN TENERIFE THIS SUNDAY 19th Jan
For the second consecutive week UD Lanzarote will travel to the south of Tenerife on Sunday 19th January to play lowly CD Buzanada at a 12 noon kick off.
The Rojillos returned from the Christmas and New Year break last Saturday and pulled off a terrific 2-4 away win against fellow promotion candidates CD Marino sending them up to third spot and three points behind league leaders UD Las Palmas B.
This week Lanzarote will face a side that has just picked up one point in their last six outings. This dreadful form has seen CD Buzanada plummet down the league table into the last relegation position.
In contrast, last week, all four of Lanzarote´s front men got on the score sheet including new signing Iván Hujo so confidence is high, however football sometimes has a way of sobering you up quickly.
Lanzarote´s experienced manager Juan Carlos Socorro knows that if his side is going to mount a challenge to win the league and claim that only guaranteed promotion spot then these are the games that you must take maximum points.
Wingers Nadjib and Pablillo are still nursing injuries so won’t be involved this Sunday and wing back Dorta is a doubt.
The following week (Sunday 26th Jan) the Rojillos return to their temporary home ground in Tías to play their first home match in over a month versus 12th placed side CD Santa Úrsula at 12 noon.
