CD MARINO   2   LANZAROTE   4

The Rojillos leapfrog CD Marino into third spot and are three points behind league leaders UD Las Palmas B following this important win in Los Cristianos in Tenerife on Saturday afteroon.

New striker Iván Hujo won the first goal after being brought down by the keeper. He converted the spot kick in the 10th minute to score his first goal for his new club. CD Marino also went down to 10 men during that incident as the keeper received a red card.

Some Lanzarote supporters made the trip to the south of Tenerife and thoroughly enjoyed a nail biting match.

The Tenerife side battled on and levelled on the half hour mark but striker Álvaro Iglesias restored his sides lead with his ninth goal of the season following an assist by Dani Febles to put Lanzarote back into a 1-2 lead.

Once again the local side fought back and in the 58th minute scored a wonder goal through the impressive Pirri to level at 2-2.

Ale Fuentes caused havoc when he was introduced and was suffering with the flu. From his corner kick Adrián Machín scored his seventh of the season to give his side a 2-3 advantage in the 72nd minute.

Deep into injury time Ale Fuentes deservedly got onto the score sheet to secure a 2-4 win inflicting the first defeat of the season for CD Marino.

A fantastic lunch after the match then a squad photo with Mount Teide in the distance.

Next Sunday Lanzarote are back in Tenerife to face CD Buzanada.
