UD VILLA SANTA BRIGIDA   3   LANZAROTE   2 (14th December)

The Rojillos went in front in the 48th minute from winger Nadjib and when Adrián Machín doubled the score it looked as though Lanzarote were going to be top of the league, at least for 24 hours.

As it happened Lanzarote were top of the league for 24 minutes as the Gran Canarian side hit back with goals in the 74th and 86th minute and then deep into injury time made it a complete comeback with the winner.

It goes to show that you cannot take anything for granted in football and congratulations to Santa Brígida for still believing. Lanzarote will end the weekend as they began it in fourth spot.

Lanzarote will go again next Sunday 22nd December when they are at home in Tías at 12.30pm and face CD Mensajero.
