LANZAROTE   0   SAN BARTOLOMÉ CF   0

The big island derby match ends with the points shared and with the Rojillos playing most of the second half with 10 men.

Lanzarote had the best two chances in the first half with Iván Aguilar with a strike that went narrowly past the left hand post.

A full house at our temporary home in Tías.

Two minutes before the break Pablillo stole the ball off a defender and was clean through but the San Bartolomé keeper did well saving with his legs.

Less than 10 minutes into the second half Rojillos right back Josimar picked up his second yellow card and his team mates were forced to play the final 40 minutes with 10 men in temperatures exceeding 30 degrees.

The Rojillos held on well and had a flurry of corners near the end but couldn’t find that final touch.

San Bartolomé almost won it at the death when an excellent deep cross from the left that was headed at the far post and came off the woodwork then cleared to safety.

Lanzarote remain unbeaten but slip to fourth spot. Next Saturday the Rojillos travel to Fuerteventura to face CD Herbania at 4.30pm.
