SAN BARTOLOMÉ TOURNAMENT (Thurs 8th to Sat 10th August)

The annual San Bartolomé tournament (8-10 August) begins this week at the Pedro Espinosa Colon stadium in the village.

The four teams participating are CF San Bartolomé, UD Lanzarote, Fuerteventura side CD Herbania and Yaiza Juniors.

Thursday 8th August 8.30pm
CF San Bartolomé v UD Lanzarote

Friday 9th August 8.30pm
CD Herbania v U.S. Yaiza Juniors

Saturday 10th August
Third v Fourth place final at 12 noon
Gran Final at 5pm

Entrance is usually 5 Euros but I do believe that it’s free this year. Its always nice to buy a couple of raffle tickets to support their club on entering.

Hot rolls and refreshments are available inside. The stadium is easy to find on google maps and there is plenty of parking. For the evening matches take a warm top with you. If you attempt to come by local transport, good luck.

UD Lanzarote squad will be training at the stadium in Tias Monday and Tuesday at 7pm then Wednesday at 8.15pm. On Thursday they are playing in the San Bartolomé tournament. Friday is once again in Tias at 7pm and Saturday is back at the tournament in San Bartolomé whilst Sunday will be a day of rest.
