LANZAROTE WIN THE FIRST PRESEASON TOURNAMENT

The Rojillos cruised to a 0-5 win to become this years Champions of the Juan Morales Cáceres tournament in Tinajo.

It’s always so enjoyable to visit the stadium in Tinajo and this year it was all the more sweeter with two dominant displays having won the semifinal 3-0 versus Yaiza Juniors the previous evening.

Lanzarote went into the break with a 0-1 lead courtesy of new striker Alvaro Iglesias 34th minute strike against the hosts CD Tinajo.

Ale Fuentes added to the score two minutes after the interval then Ayoze Pérez scored a superb powerful dipping free kick from 20 yards in the 56th minute to make the game reasonably safe at 3-0.

The impressive Nadjib made it 4-0 in the 67th minute and three minutes later Guisevi rounded off a good evenings work by scoring from close range to seal a solid win.

In the Third place final played at 6pm CF San Bartolomé beat the youth from Yaiza 5-1.

The San Bartolomé tournament begins next Thursday 9th August until Saturday 11th and once I know the fixtures and times I will post.
