LANZAROTE AT HOME WEDNESDAY 17th April at 8pm
The Rojillos face second placed side UD Las Palmas B this Wednesday 17th April at 8pm in a fixture that was originally scheduled on the 24th March but was cancelled due to a storm. Doors open at 7pm and pay at the gate.
Lanzarote remain in fourth spot but have slipped in recent weeks having taken only four points out of a possible nine whereas leaders CD Tenerife B have taken seven points and UD Las Palmas B and U.S. Yaiza all took maximum points in their last three outings.
This leaves Lanzarote eight points from top spot with a game in hand on the leaders so anything but a win on Wednesday evening will all but extinguish any hopes of winning the league and gaining the only automatic promotion position.
There are six league games remaining and Lanzarote have already guaranteed themselves a playoff position at the very least. It is vital that the Rojillos manager Nazareno Brindisi keeps his troops focused because if Lanzarote are going to have any chance in the playoffs they will need a winning mentality.
UD Las Palmas B have a great side and are hitting form at the right moment winning their last five matches and scoring ten goals in their last two outings. A win for them on Wednesday will see them go top but level on points with CD Tenerife B so they will be 100% focused.
